I had the chance to try it recently with a few friends, and was amazed at how different a wine can taste depending on the soundtrack playing. It’s a fun, mind-opening way to experience wine in a whole new light.

Don’t miss the charm just beyond McLaren Vale. Head to Willunga for its cute shops and beautiful old buildings. On Saturday mornings the Willunga Farmers Market is bursting with fresh local produce and handmade goods. We have a membership card that guests can use when they visit.

Port Noarlunga – Beaches, Shops & Reef

For beach lovers and shoppers, Port Noarlunga offers beautiful coastline, great shops, and the iconic jetty leading out to a vibrant reef perfect for snorkeling and diving. Nearby Southport is located at the Onkaparinga River Mouth, there is a surflifesaving club, but is worth noting there are sometimes strong rips in the ocean. The river is a great spot for Stand up paddleboarding or canoeing and the walk down the cliffs is one of the most photographed spots along the coast.

Along the coast, explore the beautiful beaches of Sellicks, Aldinga, Silver sands and Moana, where you can even drive right on the sand. Visit Port Willunga for a classic lunch at the Star of Greece followed by a refreshing swim, and for a cheeky swim, head to Maslins Beach, a well-known nudist spot at one end of the beach with stunning cliffs and views.

If you’re into scenic walks or bike rides, the Flat to Vale Trail connects McLaren Vale to McLaren Flat, offering a 3.6km journey through vineyards and along Pedler Creek. In McLaren Flat, stop by the McLaren Flat General Store for a relaxed bite or coffee in a newly renovated setting. Alternatively, the Shiraz Trail stretches 8km from McLaren Vale to Willunga, passing through picturesque vineyards and offering a flat, easy path for walkers and cyclists.

Onkaparinga Gorge
