Fleurieu Food Festival 2026: Stay, Taste and Explore This August

I love seeing great ideas grow, especially when they bring people together around good food, great wine and the chance to discover more of McLaren Vale and the whole Fleurieu Peninsula.

The Fleurieu Food Festival has become one of the highlights of winter on the Fleurieu Peninsula, and this August there are more than 120 events to choose from. From long lunches and winery experiences to farm tours, masterclasses and fireside feasts, it’s a wonderful excuse to stay a little longer, try somewhere new and enjoy the Fleurieu in winter.

Winter on the Fleurieu Peninsula is looking particularly delicious this year.

If you’re already choosing which events to book, why not make a few days of it?

Vale 194 is offering 10% off direct bookings for stays throughout August 2026. Stay in the heart of McLaren Vale and build your own winter escape around festival events, cellar doors, long lunches and perhaps a walk along the coast or Shiraz Trail between meals.

We don’t often offer discounts, particularly for weekend stays, so this is a rare opportunity to experience McLaren Vale during one of the Fleurieu Peninsula’s most delicious months.

Use code FLEURIEUFOOD when booking directly with Vale 194.

Why stay in McLaren Vale during Fleurieu Food Festival?

Staying locally means you can enjoy long lunches, cellar door events and evening dinners without spending your holiday driving between destinations.
